Asterik Studio

Asterik Studio is made of multiple designers, photographers and artists. Unfortunately, the studio split in two: Wonderful Union, and Invisible Creature.

Invisible Creature is based in Seattle, and it is run by the same founders as Asterik Studio (Don and Ryan Clark, which are also members of the band Demon Hunter).

Invisible Creature has created many designs for CD packaging, posters, web design, and merch design for a bunch of bands. The studio has actually been nominated for Grammy Awards for this amazing album:

I find the artwork in Norma Jean's "O God, the Aftermath" is just simply amazing. In my opinion, they really did do a great job. The studio created many other CD covers, those of which most of us has come across (such as Foo Fighters, Will.I.Am. and many others).

A few years ago I saw an ad in a magazine for a CD (Bleeding Through's "The Truth"), I was so astonished by the artwork that I went out and bought it. I did some research on how they actually produced such imagery. Take a look:

The actual goo on the musicians is a combination of red dye and chocolate syrup. To get the gruesome effect they had, they got giant pieces of styrofoam which they then coated with all kinds of meat, then poured the liquid on the meat.

This was Bleeding Through's previous album, done with the same design studio.

Pretty gnarly right? That's actually a real pig's heart. Yes, sick indeed.
